Intervallo is an homage to the history and culture of Italy. The project takes its title from a show series aired by the State Italian TV, RAI, which became a symbol of Italian heritage and cultural identity during the ’70 and ’80. The show, aired daily, simply consisted of slides of famous Italian landmarks and less-known regional sites, accompanied by text commentary and classical music.

MMMC meticulously collected and cataloged thousands of original Italian postcards. Subsequently, this postcard dataset was employed to train a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) model, which in turn generated the visual content for the performance.
